Mr. Pismo is a US Army veteran-owned business. He thought about making affordable memorabilia that you can personalize and cherish for a lifetime and beyond. While over 17 years in the military he traveled abroad and bought several souvenirs just like you did to remind him of the wonderful memories.
A little background of Anthony Bustamante (Mr. Pismo)
Anthony comes from a Sicilian and Native American ethnicity. His Doctorate in education is one of his greatest accomplishments. He has been in the United States Army for 17 years as a Military Police Officer. He has worked for the Department of Homeland Security, Pacific, Gas, & Electric, Space X, and had worked in the nonprofit sector for 12 years. He had fostered approximately 50 children. Today, he wants a business to remind people of how magical Pismo Beach is while giving back to disabled veterans.
His paternal great-grandfather migrated from Sicily and married a beautiful Cherokee Native American woman. His maternal great-grandfather was born in 1888 in a small town in Arizona called Rio de San Pedro; he farmed and was part of the last family members from the Opata Native American tribe who married a beautiful Spanish woman.
He has worked as SpaceX Security in Vandenberg, California, armed responder for the last nuclear power plant named Diablo Canyon, on California's central coast. He was an Intelligence Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security, combatting drug cartels and terrorism along the southwest border. He genuinely enjoyed law enforcement, but his talents are being drawn elsewhere. He is applying to a university professor position.
He has served the community for over 12 years as project manager and CEO on a nonprofit organization. During that time, he was a foster parent and managed a caseload of 250-300 clients. He believes that people just need a hand up and mentorship.
Anthony started Mr. Pismo to provide people who visit Pismo Beach California a cool memento to take home and be reminded of those fun times. The pictures and frames are so unique that there is no one the same. Then there is the raglan baseball t-shit with the logo. The lifeguard hat is a perfect fit to look like you are a local.
His doctorate degree in education is one of the greatest accomplishments. He has a bachelor’s in human services and a master’s in criminal justice, and a Doctorate in Education, which shows a pattern of skill building, practical application, and knowledge dissemination. He values lifelong enrichment, and this all begins with acceptance because we all come from different walks of life.
"As a doctorate student, I have learned four fundemnetal responsibilities." Don't be to serious otherwise you will get an ulcer. Eat healthy, but there is always wiggle room for fun food like burgers, pizza, fish n chips, and frozen yogurt.
You might have noticed symbols on the back of the pictures and wondered why those are there. Well, each picture has a special meaning. There are four to the collection and maybe holiday special editions in the future.
Mr. Pismo learned how to surf in December 2018. He has enjoyed surfing along the coast of California. He is an Adapter Surf Instructor. That means he has taught veterans and people born with disabilities how to surf. The ocean is truly a spiritual getaway for him.
While in the Army, MSG Bustamante has been on two deployments, many enhanced training, and special details to Italy and Hawaii. While in the California Army National Guard, he has responded to fires, floods, and riots. He believes in service to community and country.
